Ad creative analysis tools split into two kinds. Most of them connect to your ad account and explain your own results: Motion from $750 a month, Superads from $125, Segwise from $250, GoMarble from $139 and Atria from $129. A few take one ad as a link or a file and say what happens in it, second by second, which is the only way to analyse a competitor's ad. Of the 10 tools compared here, 7 set their price by the ad spend or impressions they read, 3 publish no price in dollars, and 2 take a single ad with no ad account connected.
Key takeaways
- 7 of 10 ad creative analysis tools set their price by the ad spend or impressions they read. Motion's $750 tier stops at $50,000 of spend a month.
- 3 of 10 publish no price in dollars: Hawky and Vidmob ask you to talk to sales, and Marxx prices in rupees from ₹10,000 a month.
- Only 2 of 10 take one ad as a link or a file with no ad account connected. That is the only way to analyse an ad a competitor runs.
- Buy an account tool when the question is which of your ads won. Buy an ad reader when the question is why an ad works, yours or theirs.
- 7 of 10 pricing pages name Claude, ChatGPT or MCP, so the analysis can reach the assistant your team already uses.
What is on this page and on no other
Most pages on this subject repeat the same advice and the same figures. These are the facts this one produced itself, and how each one was made.
7 of the 10 tools set their price by the ad spend or the impressions they read: Motion, Superads, Atria, GoMarble, Segwise, Marxx and Vidmob. A brand that spends $5,000 a month pays Motion's $750 like a brand that spends $50,000.
3 of the 10 publish no price in dollars. Hawky and Vidmob show no figure at all, and Marxx shows only a starting price in rupees.
2 of the 10 take one ad as a file or a link with no ad account connected: GoMarble's free AI Ads Analyzer and Playhead. The other 8 analyse ads that come through a connected account or a library they collect.
3 uploads to GoMarble's free AI Ads Analyzer on 7 October 2026 showed 0 reports. 2 stopped at a page that asks for a company Google Workspace sign-in, and 1 did not leave the upload page in 2 minutes.
Playhead read the same 25.5 second Cupids ad in 20.8 seconds and named 5 beats with their seconds, the offer at 4.4 seconds and the call to action from 18.0 to 19.4 seconds.
How we chose these tools
- A tool is on this list when its own site says it analyses ad creative. Tools that only generate ads, or only report spend, are not.
- Every price is the lowest tier on the vendor's own pricing page, read on 7 October 2026. Where a vendor shows no tier, the entry says so instead of quoting a figure from another site.
- Every entry says what the tool needs before the first analysis: an ad account, a library, a link or a file. No other list we read on 7 October 2026 says this, and it decides what a tool can analyse at all.
- Every entry names at least one limit, ours as well. Playhead is seventh, because most people who search for this want to read their own ad account, and Playhead does not do that.
The shortlist
Every price is the lowest published tier, read off the vendor's own pricing page. The date it was read is at the foot of this page.
| Tool | From | Best for | Watches the video |
|---|---|---|---|

What it actually sees in the ad

- Ad leaderboard and creative analytics across connected accounts
- Answers in Slack, and ships briefs, hooks and reports there

- Full data access and MCP access on the $750 tier
Stronger at

Where it stops
- The $750 entry tier stops at $50,000 of monthly ad spend, and a brand that spends $5,000 pays the same $750.
- Every tier on the pricing page ends in Book a demo. A competitor's ad that is not in your account is outside what Motion reports on.

- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad

- A free 14 day trial on the pricing page, with no demo call first
Where it stops

- MCP and a REST API on every tier
Stronger at
- Covers research and account analytics in one plan, where Motion and Superads cover only the account
- Searches assets by what is in the picture and by what is said, not only by name
Where it stops
- 600 MCP calls a month on Core is 20 a day. Unlimited calls start at $479.
- Core follows 50 brands with no AI insights. The tagged hooks and angles of followed brands start on Plus.
Foreplay
A swipe file, an ad search engine, a brief builder and a competitor tracker, with Lens for the analytics of your own ads.

- Discovery, a search over 200 million saved ads
- Briefs that turn saved ads into instructions for an editor
- Spyder, which tracks every ad a competitor launches
- Lens, which connects Meta and TikTok ad accounts
Stronger at
- The lowest entry price for a competitor library. The page says usage and ad spend are unlimited on every tier.
- Briefs that turn saved ads into instructions for an editor, on the $59 tier
Where it stops
- Lens, the analytics half, starts on Workflow at $175 and covers 1 brand there.
- The $59 tier has no connection to AI tools. MCP and the API start on Workflow.
Segwise
AI creative analytics and tagging across ad networks and MMPs, with creative generation and competitor insights on every plan.

- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad

- Creative fatigue tracking
- Competitor insights
- Pre-flight testing and creative generation
Stronger at
- Every feature on every plan. The plans differ only in ad spend and AI tokens.
- Network and MMP connections, which matter to app teams and are absent from most tools here
Where it stops
- The $250 plan is for teams that apply and spend under $50,000 a month. The open plan starts at $499.
- 500 AI tokens a month on both of the published plans.
GoMarble
AI agents for paid media that audit accounts and break down creatives, plus a free AI Ads Analyzer that takes one ad as a file or a Facebook ad link.
- What it costs
- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad
What it does
- Creative breakdowns and performance audits on a connected account
- Competitor research
- Agents that launch, pause and adjust campaigns with approval, from $399
- MCP, so the agents work from Claude and ChatGPT
- A free analyzer for one video or static ad, up to 30 seconds
Stronger at
- One of 2 tools on this list that take a single ad as an upload, with no ad account
- Agents that can act on the account with approval, which only Marxx and Hawky also offer here
Where it stops
- The free analyzer takes a video of 30 seconds at most and asks for a landing page address with every ad.
- In 3 uploads on 7 October 2026 the free analyzer showed 0 reports. 2 asked for a company Google Workspace sign-in first, and 1 did not leave the upload page in 2 minutes.

Playhead
OursPlayhead watches one ad, or up to 10, and says what happens in it second by second: the hook, every beat with its seconds, every claim, the offer and the ask.
- What it costs
- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad
What it does
- Any ad by link: Meta Ad Library, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X, or a file
- The same fields for every ad, so a set of 10 stacks into one table
- The cuts, the shot lengths and the second the product and the brand appear, measured
- An MCP server, so the analysis runs inside Claude or ChatGPT
Stronger at
- One of 2 tools here that take a single ad with no ad account, and the only one of the 2 that named seconds for us on a 25.5 second ad
- The lowest paid price on this list, with no cap on ad spend because no account is read
Where it stops
- Playhead connects to no ad account, so it holds no spend, CTR or hook rate. It says why an ad works, never how much it sold.
- No swipe file and no competitor tracker. You bring the ad, from the Meta Ad Library or a tool like Foreplay.

Marxx
Creative intelligence and production for paid social: it reads your ads and your competitors' ads, writes a brief, and produces and publishes the ad.
- What it costs
- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad
What it does
- 16 attributes decoded per creative, across 100 million indexed ads
- Competitor tracking on the Meta Ad Library and the Google Ads Transparency Centre
- Personas from comments and reviews on 20 or more channels
- A production canvas with voice, avatar and cut, published to Meta
- MCP for Claude and ChatGPT
Stronger at
- The only tool here that goes from a competitor's ad to a published ad of your own on one canvas
- Seats are unlimited and the price is per workspace
Where it stops
- No price in dollars on the pricing page, and every plan starts with a call.
- The site says you connect one ad account on the demo call before you see the analysis.
Hawky
Creative and performance dashboards with automatic element tagging, competitor tracking and autonomous agents that manage bids and budgets.
- What it costs
- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad
What it does
- Element-level creative tagging of every hook, frame and CTA
- A creative dashboard and a performance dashboard
- Competitor tracking and fatigue alerts
- A copilot for questions in plain English, on Ask and above
- Agents that manage bids, budgets and pauses, on Auto-pilot
Stronger at
- Unlimited users on every tier
- Tags at element level, hook, frame and CTA, on every tier
Where it stops
- No figure on the pricing page. A team that has to approve a budget first cannot get one from the website.
- Data sources are Meta, Google and TikTok ad accounts. The page offers no way to analyse an ad outside them.
Vidmob
Creative scoring and analytics for large advertisers, across 13 channels, with an AI assistant called Maddie and a named account manager.
- What it costs
- Best for
- Rated
What it actually sees in the ad
What it does
- Pre-flight quality checks against platform specs
- Brand guideline checks across markets
- Performance intelligence on which creative factors drive results
- 13 channels, Meta, Amazon, Google, TikTok and The Trade Desk among them
- Connects to Claude and Gemini
Stronger at
- 13 channels, the widest coverage on this list
- A model trained on 13 months of your own creative and platform data before the first report
Where it stops
- No price on the pricing page. Packages start at a size of impressions that a small brand does not reach.
- Built for portfolios of brands. One ad from a competitor is outside what a package is sized for.
What does each tool need before the first analysis?
The question no other list answers, and the one that decides which ads a tool can analyse at all.
Every tool on this list says it analyses ad creative. They do not mean the same thing, and the difference is in what you give the tool first.
An account tool connects to your Meta, TikTok or Google ad account. It reads the spend and the results, tags each creative, and tells you which of your ads won. That is the right tool when the question is about your own account. It cannot analyse an ad that is not in that account, and that includes every ad your competitors run.
A library tool collects ads: from the Meta Ad Library, from a browser extension, from the brands you follow. It is the right tool when you want to see what the market runs and keep it.
An ad reader takes one ad, as a link or a file, and says what happens in it. It is the right tool when the question is why an ad works, and the ad is not yours.
| Tool | Needs first | From |
|---|---|---|
| Motion | A connected ad account, after a demo | $750/mo |
| Superads | A connected ad account | $125/mo |
| Atria | A connected account, or brands you follow | $129/mo |
| Foreplay | Saved ads, or a connected account on Lens | $59/mo |
| Segwise | Connected ad networks | $250/mo |
| GoMarble | A connected account, or one ad on the free analyzer | Free |
| Playhead | One ad as a link or a file | Free |
| Marxx | A connected ad account, on a call | ₹10,000/mo |
| Hawky | Connected ad accounts, after a sales call | On request |
| Vidmob | 13 months of your data, after a sales call | On request |
Out of 10 ad creative analysis tools
What does the tool see in the ad?
Numbers, tags or the video itself. Most feature lists do not say which.
A tool that reads numbers knows the spend, the click rate and the hook rate. It tells you that an ad lost. It cannot tell you that the price appears at 4.4 seconds, because it never looked at 4.4 seconds.
A tool that writes tags labels each creative: UGC, a question hook, a price on screen. Tags let you count across 200 ads. A tag says that an ad has a demonstration. It usually does not say when the demonstration starts or how long it runs.
A tool that watches the video names the second. The hook ends at 2.4 seconds, the offer is spoken at 4.4, the call to action runs from 18.0 to 19.4. That is the level a strategist works at when they scrub through a winning ad by hand, and it is the level a brief for an editor needs.
The tags and the seconds do not compete with the numbers. A team that reads its own account still has to find out why the winner won. The numbers find the ad, and the reading explains it.
Which ad creative analysis tool to choose
One question decides it: is the ad in your account, or is it somebody else's?
| Your question | The kind of tool | Start with |
|---|---|---|
| Which of my ads won, and is it fatiguing | Account tool | Superads at $125, Motion above $50k of spend |
| What do my competitors run, and can I keep it | Library tool | Foreplay at $59, Atria at $129 |
| Why does this ad work, second by second | Ad reader | Playhead, free to start |
| Make the next ad from what won | Production | Marxx, or Atria's generation |
| Score creative across 13 channels and many brands | Enterprise scoring | Vidmob |
Most teams end up with two of these: one tool that reads the account and one that reads the ad. If you only buy one, buy the one that answers the question you ask every week.
To see what an ad reader returns, paste a competitor's ad from the Meta Ad Library into Playhead. For the full method, read how to analyse a competitor's ad with AI.
The verdict
There is no single best ad creative analysis tool, because the 10 tools here answer 2 different questions. If the question is which of your own ads won, buy an account tool: Superads at $125 a month for most brands, Motion at $750 once the spend passes $50,000. If the question is why an ad works, and the ad is a competitor's, an account tool cannot see it. That job needs a tool that takes one ad as a link and names the seconds. Only 2 of the 10 take one ad without an account, and in our 3 tries GoMarble showed no report before a sign-in.
Common questions
What is an ad creative analysis tool?
An ad creative analysis tool explains why an ad performs the way it does. Most of them connect to an ad account and tag each creative against its spend and results. A smaller group takes one ad as a link or a file and says what happens in it, second by second, which works on a competitor's ad as well as on your own.
Can I analyse a competitor's ad without access to their account?
Yes, with a tool that takes one ad as a link or a file. Of the 10 tools compared here, 2 do: GoMarble's free AI Ads Analyzer, which takes a video of 30 seconds at most, and Playhead, which takes a Meta Ad Library, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or X link. A tool that reads your ad account sees only your own ads.
What is the cheapest ad creative analysis tool?
Playhead has a free plan of 50,000 credits every 4 weeks and paid plans from $19 every 4 weeks. GoMarble's single-ad analyzer is free. Among the tools that connect to an ad account, Superads is the lowest at $125 a month on the yearly rate, for up to $100,000 of monthly ad spend.
Is Motion worth $750 a month?
Motion's $750 Starter tier covers up to $50,000 of monthly ad spend with unlimited seats and ad accounts. A brand that spends near that limit pays about 1.5 per cent of its spend for the reports. A brand that spends $5,000 a month pays the same $750, which is 15 per cent, and Superads at $125 is the closer fit.
Which ad analysis tools work inside Claude or ChatGPT?
7 of the 10 pricing pages name Claude, ChatGPT or MCP: Motion on its $750 tier, Atria with 600 MCP calls a month on Core, Foreplay from its $175 tier, GoMarble, Marxx, Vidmob and Playhead. Superads, Segwise and Hawky do not name one on their pricing pages.
Do these tools watch the video, or only read the numbers?
Most read the numbers and write tags. Motion, Atria, Marxx, Hawky and Vidmob say they look at the creative itself, and none of their pricing pages says whether an analysis names the second something happens. Playhead names the second for every beat, the offer and the call to action.
